What GeoPilot changes—and what it does not.
Why can Google still show a location based on past activity?
Google can combine page geolocation with IP, cookies and account history. Apply GeoPilot to the site first; for repeatable local search checks, use the Google preview tool with explicit location parameters.
Does GeoPilot change my IP address?
No. It is not a VPN or proxy. Services that prioritise IP, billing country or device signals may still use those values.
Does the free version need an account?
No. Free settings remain in Chrome local storage. An account is optional and used only to verify a GeoPilot Pro purchase.
What data leaves the browser?
Offline location features send nothing to GeoPilot. Optional address search sends the query directly to OpenStreetMap. Account email and billing status are handled only when you connect or buy Pro; PayPal or Creem handles payment details.
Is the Chrome Web Store version live?
Not yet. Version 0.1.4 is available as a test ZIP while the store listing, screenshots and review package are prepared. The page will switch to the verified store link only after publication.
